Handheld Millimeter-wave Scanner}

Sago Systems’ lightweight aPat^™ handheld unit provides instant passive millimeter-wave images of weapons, improvised explosives, containers with liquids and other suspicious objects concealed under clothing. The aPat™ is technician-friendly, with easily identifiable images presented on the unit's integral display. With a vertical sweep of the handheld unit, 2D images are created from natural millimeter-wave radiation emitted from the human body. The aPat™ allows security personnel to image areas that are difficult to reach without embarrassing passengers or customers. A typical pat-down is not required in most cases. The aPat™ provides immediate visual feedback. It is an excellent security product for imaging individuals with various cultural traditions without being invasive.
